i'm using a macbook (1.83 GHz Inter Core Duo using OSX 10.4.9). I'm using
Logic 7 vanilla.
When i open certain songs that were transfered from a studio hard-drive,
they crash immediately. Initially there were crash log entries but not
anymore. and no 'Logic Pro Crashed' message appears either.
the songs should be fine as they were opened fine on the studio computer.
can anyone help me?
i've read through threads but can't see any solutions that don't mention
reading the crash log....
urgent as it's for a project with a deadline!!!
thanks very much guys!!!!!!!!

What does "Logic 7 vanilla" mean? 7.0, 7.1x, 7.2x, what?
Logic 7.2.3
first of all it tends to say 'couldn't convert marker text' then logic is no
longer open....
could it be do to with different drivers, AUs etc used on each respective
computer????
any ideas?

I have this problem and I traced it to having Ableton Live 6 on the same
harddrive as
Logic. Weirdly no one has been able to solve it. I've reformatted my drive
and it still
occurs, so I just remove it from the HD until I need it again. Maybe there
is a conflict with
some other program?
Perry
thanks for your response. i have ableton on the same machine so maybe you're
right. i'll try removing ableton then.

Also make sure you have the most recent version of rewire, have a look at
propellerheads
website to get any updates,
Mike
cheers m8s!
I had the same situation as some of you did. Thus my same problem occured
when I rewired Ableton Live 6.0.7 into Logic Pro 7.2.3. The quick fix I did
was to trash the Logic Pro App and adjacent files in spotlight, then just
did a reinstall of the program. Everything now works fine, I guess it must
be a bug in the rewire app.
Perry did you send a message to Ableton about this? I know Apple was working
on a new version but I don't know if it's going to come out or if a new app
is going to come out considering the rumor mill that has been floating
around. Hope that helps mates!
Hi. I've experienced the same problem and the same message re Markers. This
happens for us when moving songs that have Markers between Intel iMacs and a
non-Intel Core Duo machine. When all markers are removed the problem seems
to go.
thanks v much , that's done the trick
