You will have to start by explaining your rig.

If you are trying to use the MIDI tracks you need a sound source. They are
meant to trigger external synths, and produce no sound on their own.
I¹m
guessing that is your problem, but as Dennis says, you will need to give us
more information about your setup.
You could insert a quicktime synth to use those tracks check the
manual

Well, the first thing to do is come to terms that Logic is a totally
different beast than Garage Band, it's not really an upgrade.
Garage Band is based on Logic technology but is much more user
friendly for someone new to MIDI.
In Logic, you will need to set everything up, basically...create your
own template.
None of the instrument icons Logic has in it's default song are
connected to anything, this can be a source of confusion.
Read up on the AUinstrument tracks, how to load and activate one of
Logic's synths or the EXS24 sampler. You should ave some tracks
labeled Inst 1, Inst 2, Inst 3....etc. This is a good place to start.
Double clicking on one of the instrument tracks will open Logic's
track mixer, right below the I/O label and above the output 1-2
selector is an empty slot. Here, you can click/hold and Logic will
give you a selection of instruments to load. Load one of the synths,
now you should hear something.
