Hi All:
The NYLPUG Meeting of 3.23.07, featuring Tim Gilles of Big Blue
Meenie studios fame, is now up on the NYLPUG web site : http://
nylpug.com/wordpress/video-podcasts.
Definitely worth checking out, IMHO.
Jonathan

Thanks Jonathan.
I just watched both meetings, with Bob Power and with Tim Gilles.
Great stuff.
The only problem is that on Bob Power's one, the camera didn't show
the screen much.
But thanks for filming and sharing the NYLPUG meetings.
Congrats.

Thanks very much for your efforts Jonathan. This is a wonderful
resource. It's interesting to see what you get up to in the northern
hemisphere as well.
I couldn't stop laughing when Tim referred to one of Logic's
competitors as those "surfboard waxing nazis". Probably a bit of
east/
west coast rivalry too?

Oh my god, Charles Mansons reincarnation as an audio engineering guru (watch
anything of Charles Manson at his parole hearings on YouTube or so and you
know why I'm saying something seemingly horrible like this...).
I'm serious, I had to stop watching the Tim Gilles videos. I hope I'll never
have to work with someone like him in all my life. A guy shouting instead of
speaking all the time - hmpf, really...
And btw, they talk about editing audio for ages with very few sonic
examples - what's that all about? I mean, after all, Logic is a sequencer
dealing with audio signals, not about someone raving about the possibilities
endlessly without much sonic "evidence", all that in a
hard-to-deal-with
voice. Phew.
The Bob Power videos are great, though. Thanks for those.
Regards
Sascha

Agreed. But I wish he would have included some
audio/visual demonstrations of his use of Logic.

Hello, to you all,
I´m not a pro, but as an hobby-Logic`an I´m totaly agree with
Sascha. But i have watched
it all till ending..(In the hope, there comes more INTERESTING, and not so
loud)....but
mostly i thought at this video:
His poor poor poor guy at the MACBOOK
(what does he says - 18 Month - in his studio?)
He must be a very very hard guy!!! (I can`t post it better with my
germanenglish)
Live always have two sides
the first:
With bob powers was very god. He was telling no secrets, but the way he told
the things
was very practicably for me, and i will thought and hear about my stuff more
in his ways in
future. So i will see what the difference will be....
the second:
look above at poor poor....
so i can only say: more of first !!!! And many thanks to all the people who
implemented
this podcast. VERY GOOD THING!!!
