Hey Guys,
I'm really freaking out here.
I've setup my midi controller to control what I need it to, but when I put
a track in touch/latch/write mode, and move a fader (like volume) NOTHING
records.
It's weird because I can automate with the mouse, but I find that rather
tedious.
Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong or how to fix this?
Regards,
Tyler.

You must first assign a controller to automation. There is an option
to "learn". After that you can choose the parameter you want to
control and then work with the controller on your machine.

Hi:
I know this problem I am about to explain is a Logic problem, because
these VST's work in another sequencer program, I just don't like the other
program.
Both MOTU's Ethno Instrument and Ultimate Sound Bank's Extreme FX install
and work as stand alone instruments on my Windows XP, P4 with 2GB of RAM.
When I try to access them via a VST in Logic, there is no sound. I think
what is happening is that when Logic is running, MIDI is not getting to the
instrument. I experimented with another Sequnecer, and it works fine, so I
know the problem is in Logic.
There is no MENU when using in VST mode, so I can't set the midi channel
to one, to receive from my controller. (I'm sure it's a MIDI issue)
I am wondering if there are any windows users who are getting this to work
successfully.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

What kind of controller? Does Logic know it is there? Logic has a bunch of
built-in drivers that let it recognize the most common control surfaces. You
need to go to your preferences and check it there.
If your controller is not listed you will probably have to get Logic to
³learn² some controller assignments. Check the manual.
