Subject: [LUG] audio interface with logic......
Message #228157
hello everyone, i need advice on what audio interface to get. 'cause I currently use the m- audio firewire 410 mobile recording interface. i have the outputs of the firewire 410 connected to the inputs of my analog mixing board and my studio monitors connected to the outputs of the analog mixer. in case you're wondering what analog mixer i am using. it is a mackie cfx 16 mixer and the studio monitors i have is the mackie HR 824's. Now, I want to eliminate the analog mixer 'cause i realize i do not need it. but i did try connecting the mackie monitors directly to the outputs of the m-audio firewire 410. it seems that the firewire 410 doesn't play any louder than it should. i did try the settings in the firewire 410 software settings and the computers sound settings, but it doesn't help. i need an audio interface that is stronger than this m-audio firewire 410 that i have. i hope you understand what i want to do. you know how you want to hear the mix you're working on and you sometimes turn up the volume to hear it loud. well, with this m-audio firewire 410 that i have doesn't get any louder than it should. any suggestions. i was thinking of getting the 003 rack from digidesign, but not sure if i want to really spend that kind of money on an audio interface. well, let me know what to do. i'll listen. take care, djevon
