I am currently using an M-Audio ProjectMix I/O with Logic Pro running on an IMac 1.8 PPC . Everything plays well together but I am at a point while recording that I need more than 8 channels of mic pres or direct instrument inputs during basic tracking simultaneously. My question is, are the quality of mic input preamps acceptable, and will the onboard FX and processing take the strain off my computer sufficiently so all that it is doing is basically recording and playing back the tracks with autamation changes?
