I've got a DP G4 1.25 that freezes after an hour on Logic 7.2. No
mouse, no keyboard, a complete freeze. I use outboards but mostly
internals.
It freezes if I go away from the computer and come back in 15-30
minutes. I think this was discussed some time ago, but couldn't find
any reference here or at Apple. I would appreciate any information if
you have any knowledge of this occuring.
G4DP 1.25, 2gb ram, OS10.4.8, Logic 7.2.1, emagic amt8 midi, audiowerk
2 audio card, emu and roland outboards

Sounds like it might be a bad ram chip. I had the same problems once
with the same machine. Took me 6 weeks to figure it out. What size
chips you running? If they are 512 X 4, you might want to try pulling
them out and trying 3 at a time, for a few hours each. If the machine
runs fine, the removed chip is the problem.
I am not sure if you can remove singles from this particular Mac, so
you might want to check at Apple first. Look for the machine name and
then the specifications.
Take care, George Leger III

I used to see this; I think I turned off the screen saver and the
display sleeping in the Energy Saver pane of System Preferences and
it seemed to help.
