I recently purchased Smart Loops Pro Drum Works (Apple Loops Edition) volume 1. I'm excited about using it, but when I try to import loops to my Logic Pro 7 I get a message saying: Audio file ______hasn't got sufficient access privileges so the overview can not be saved. I registered my purchase and think I'm using the loops correctly but can't get what I build to work. What's interesting is that my partner who uses Garage Band on his Mac has no problem using the disc. I REALLY want to use Smart Loops. Can anyone help me out?

I suspect that they were recorded onto a CD that was formatted for a windows based system. It sounds like your files are locked. Select the folder they are in, then press the apple key and the i key for get info. Look at the bottom of the dialog box, and make sure the "ownership and permissions" is set to "read and write" if it isn't, select the pop up box, and select it. That should allow you to do what you want.
