Hi there!
When I bounce a song in Logic 5.0, the volume is much lower. It also sounds
more flat.
I use ASIO4ALL and the sound is OK while playing in Logic. When I use PC/AV,
the sound is also flat while playing, same as the bounced file.
Could someone tell me how I can bounce the song exactly as I hear it in
Logic?
The analysis in Wavelab says, the maximum peak is at 0db, but the iterated
volume is about 8-10db too low. And raising the volume afterwards lets the
song still sound flat..
Very glad about answers!
Thank you!
It must have something to do with your audiocard because audio files sound
the same (more or less) inside and outside of Logic. If Wavelab says that
it's already in 0 Db then the only way to get it louder is to compress/limit
it you can't just turn it up. You don't by any chance have some kind of FX
on the asio-card that is not included in the mix. What happens if you play
the mixed file back through the asio card outside of Logic, does this also
sound thin.
Yes there is a problem!
I re-imported the bounced audiofile into Logic again. It sounds good!
Where could the error hide? Even on other systems or mp3-players the
bounced song is not loud enough, even not the half of a normal amplitude.
Compressing it afterwards would be a workaround, but doesn't make the cut..
I used this ASIO-driver to solve most problems with latencies, but thats a
bad payback now. The system should fully function on ASIO, and also bounce,
right?
But it sounds exactly as if I converted it into PC/AV.
At this system the Soundblaster Extigy is used, maybe somebody has a
configuration
hint for Logic?
It should sound exactly as it does in Logic.
Thanks for your help°!
Ok! as an additional info:
I am able to get a almost original sound by compressing and hard-limiting
it.
But I have to use a multi-compressor and compress the low and the high
parts
much more than the rest (especially the low ones). In Logic it sounds like
crap,
clipped and distorted (though it is still below 0db). The bounce sounds
good!
You'll understand, that I do not want to guess every time how much I have
to
"overdrive" to get a good sound.
Has anyone experiences which such a problem on ASIO?
Or does anyone know a good alternative?
Happy with ANY help!
