Subject: [LUG] Allocating Drives...
Message #227083
I know that you can start a project in Logic and keep your Media files in one place on your media drive but what if wish to "split things up" when you are neck deep into that project? I started a song that has gotten very drive intensive. There are a lot of Freeze Files in the project because of intensive plug-ins like Sculpture, Absynth & some heavy FX plugs too... I have two Lacie drives but for this song, Drive #1 has been doing all the heavy lifting. I changed the Audio Path setting in Logic to Drive #2 and Logic does write some media there, but those Freeze files remain on Drive #1... Can I manually break up the files, perhaps splitting them up equally on the two drives so that Drive #1 doesn't spin itself off my rack and bounce down the hall? :-] I am concerned that this drive does seem to be "hitting the red" quite a bit and I do NOT wanna lose my media. (Just for the record, I have backed it up elsewhere.) Any thoughts are def appreciated! charlie eisenhardt 3:jet
