Hi
I've set up Logic Pro 7 rewired to Live 6 as the slave - as the Live 101
tutorial shows..and read the manual section in Logic for Rewire
I'm running on a MAC OS 10.4.8 laptop 1.67 gig processor, Logic Pro 7.2,
Live 6 ( 2000 ram memory)
I have Logic set up as the master / Live as the slave app.
when hitting the play button on a clip in the audio track of live, the
transport begins playing in Logic also - I'm actually getting Ultabeat and
Live clip syncing ( well, alright...but not intentionally) ...but...then I
get the Overload processor message from Logic after it often crashes...one
reason obviously is too much CPU,( I disable pluggins, polyhony, etc)
however, I also get the following error message from Live:
**Live detected problems with the rewire master application ( Logic Pro
7.2)- please refer to the Ableton support website for up to date rewire
problems and fixes..**
Is there a problem with this version of Logic and rewire? or a fix somewhere
or update for Rewire that I shoukld know about that exists somewhere..
or can someone tell me the best way to set up for using Logic 7 with Live 6
- I know that the CPU problem will only be solved with the more poawerful
Mac...but until then I
can learn alot and make a lot of progress knowing how to do this corresctly
in advnace.
Even when I want to just play the Live clip, whenever I click on
it...Ultrabeat will play.
Any suggestions, tips, step by step set-up, would be much appreciated!
Thanks

Jake, is your processor an Intel or PowerPC? I recently upgraded to an Intel
Mac and had Rewire problems until I downloaded the latest patches to both
Reason and Logic. I would be sure you are running the latest patches for
Logic (7.2.3, I think it is) and Live.
Hope this helps.
Jaimie
