Hi
I'm using an m-audio fast track pro usb interface, and I seem to be getting
popping sounds in my recorded audio that are apparent on playback. Anyone
else have this issue or a solution?
Thanks
That is the sound of digital clipping. :-( Either the audio is clipping
during record or during playback. Logic will tell you when a recording is
clipping. during playback, check the levels on your master output and make
sure it does not go red.

Might be digital clipping due to input overload. But it might also be
shortage of the USB port. I once bought an USB based interface from M-
audio and had that problem, even though it was more like drop-outs
and noise artifacts in the recorded audio. Sometimes, but not so
often, also in the monitor audio. My solution was to go back to the
store and exchange the USB based device for a Cardbus interface so I
could use my Multiface with that computer. I have recently bought yet
another USB based audio interface that also has this USB protocol
related problemes (but I'm happy anyway because it's a zoom H4 and I
did not buy it for use as "a soundcard" but as a hand hold
recorder
for field recordings).
