Hi again,
Try to use an USB with AC Adaptator or a small on with a Laptop, but again
"better try before buy !"

OK, I've got a weird one. Sometimes, I will go to the track mixer and one
or more of the first audio tracks will be gone from view. They are still
there in the arrange window, they are still there in the audio layer of the
environment, and they still function properly. However, I can't access
them in the track mixer. Doesn't matter which version of Logic, as this
happened in 4.5 and 4.6, and now in 4.7. I must be doing something wrong.
Anybody seen this problem or have a suggestion?
Also, the bug that existed in 4.6 (Platinum) where the bus send levels are
not visible in the track mixer is still present in 4.7. Workaround, as
with my other problem, is to use the audio layer of the environment, where
the levels do appear.

I still don´t know what it exactly the problem was, but take a look at
all =
these ATI-extensions
inside your system-folder.(I suppose they are a part of this problem)
Turn them off, turn them on and see....
by the way: Even emagicßs hotline couldn´t help me with tha..:(
good luck.
I know this isvery annoying...

Yes, that would be great!

Hi,
I had this problem and got rid of it by creating a new song document and
moving all parts to that one. Probably the original song doc was corrupted
in some way. Other people on the list have also reported this error.

Hi!
I would like to automate the tempo-parameter of a delay plugin
(Ohmboyz by www.ohmforce.com).
Problem is it alway syncing itself to Logic's tempo (like it's
supposed to do). Is there a way to disable this behaviour, other
than going back to LOGIC 4.6.3 ?
Thanks Marc

Thanks for the idea; Unfortunaly it didn't work.
I asked Ohmforce; but it's not only theirs, also Logic's Tape
Delay is always syncing nicely along ;-(

Dear Logic Users,
Is there any way to get more than 1 UNDO level on LAPW ?
This is quite dissapointing considering all the superb funtions
from the logic series.
hope to hear your replies,

One of our producers has an affinity to the Sonic Foundry direct X EQ
It causes huge problems when he uses it with Logic. Are there any
tweaks that can make it run easier on the CPU or in some cases at all?
Is this a general Direct X issue that might be fixed in V 5.0? I am
running Direct X v 7.0

What a convenient way for Microsoft to run a survey of all the components on
your machine :)

Of course one serial number from one piece of hardware would be just as
unique.....but then again, Bill wouldn't be able to keep tabs on you as
well.

not here;
the updaters update the readme file, as well --- very handy --- so that
*all*
the fixes/additions are present within one document.

Hi all... I'm brand new to the group.
Does anyone out there have an environment setup for the Roland MC-307
Groovebox? I have searched the net and can't find one. Any help is
appreciated!

Has anyone tried using a USB to Serial port adapter to hang the
dongle? It should make the dongle itself feel at home, but would the
keyfinder think to look there?
I'd like to be able to run from my laptop without using the docking
station.
Thanks,

No, right now there's only 1 undo level. The workaround right now is to have
Logic make a backup every time you save (see preferences). I don't think
that
will change in the near future.

AFAIK it won't work, sorry.

Guys this is way OT, Why don¹t you move there, anyway this serial #
system
is going to generate more headaches to legit users, one article reviewer
said the first thing he did was to head to the net and download a crack for
this, Now tell me those Emagic cracks are working in tune for ya......

I think you quoted my mail correctly. I have to admit, that I mixed up
Reason and Rewire 2 support in my last mail. I don't know the current state
of the Reason support in Logic. It might be in a 4.x release or it might be
in 5.x - I don't know.

Well, all statements here are without any warranty.
Sometimes we have to change priorities, because other even more important
things show up. Some people have other priorities than we and so they may
think: Why? This features is SOOO important. Well, I might not for us and
thousands of our users and sometimes we can't even tell you the reason,
because the higher priority features are top secret till they ship. I am
really sorry when this happens, but I can't avoid it.

Every time I open a particular song I get a "Can't Initialize
Audiowerk"
message then my machine crashes (G4/466/256meg). This seems to be a problem
with the song itself. Is there a way to force the song to open (key command
maybe) using the Mac AV configuration so I can rescue the elements of the
song? If not is there a way to disable the Audiowerk to achieve the same
result? Please help me save this little masterpiece. Thanks in advance.
Whenever I try and bounce to an Audio track, I arm the channel, hit record,
and it sounds like the song is going through a delay unit and keeps feeding
back over itself. Anyone have any suggestions as to what is going on? I have
a feeling it has something to do with my recording setup in y soundcard. I
am using an SBLive. Thanks.
Mike
I am sure this has probably already been discussed but does anyone know if
it is possible to automate knobs within a VSTi such as the Pro52? I have
read the manual but it doesn't seem to mention anything besides general
mixer automation, and effects automation. I tried to automate the VSTi as I
would an effects plugin but to no avail. Any suggestions?

It is possible to automate knobs of a VSTi... but the Pro52 is a special
case.
Afaik, the Pro52 doesn't automate well in Logic.
to automate it, put it in "control" view instead of the grafical
editor. Cable
your VSTi channels to a channel splitter just like you did for audio
channels.
Then select such a channel splitter in the arrangement and record the
movements
on it. I think this should work.

Thanks, I'll give it a try. I am fairly new to Logic so its gonna take me
some time, but I'll post how it goes to the list.

Hi, ive posted twice about Logic's whimsical decision to convert source
files or to just show everything as invalid objects, and nobody seems to
know the answer. Is this something Emagic is fixing for version 5?
Am I the only one to see it behave so erratically in this fashion, or are
there certain characteristics about the LSO that make Logic be able to
convert the objects in it?
any help would be appreciated, I am really really stuck here.
Ian
Hi, can I automate only certain MIDI data to a particular AudioInst? I'm
pretty sure this is easily accomplished I just cant seem to figure out how
to do it from the manual. thanks.
