try this, get out of logic, then open LADS, delete all the drivers in the left hand window. now create a new virtual driver, rename it, double click in the rht window until you have loaded the components that you need. DO NOT add any drivers that are not needed as they will be allocated to channels in logic. now leave LADS and open logic, select your new driver in audio device setup. close logic, reboot and have fun. let me know if this helps. it took me hours to find out that there is a limit on the drivers that can be in the left LADS window and that if I clean it out things work! -----Original Message----- From: Tony Perretta <tony-yb@...> To: logic-users@egroups.com <logic-users@egroups.com> Date: Wednesday, June 07, 2000 5:30 PM Subject: Re: [LUG] Logic ate my dirvers !!!!!!!!!! >There is a little app to enable hardware setup: The Logic Audio Device >Setup - as Fernando says. Subject: Automation lag - more news
Message #28555
The dealer just called me back - he was unable to reproduce any automation lag using another native sequencer. I wasn't there, so i can't confirm his methods, but he described the automation response as "one sample". If this is the case, then its a Logic Audio Engine-specific problem. It would be great if E-Magic could address this and tell me when a fix can be expected, so that I can make a decision as to wether or not I have to shell out for a second TDM system. I can send you a picture of my Dongle (I mean Logic`s one) if you insist ! My problem is exactly this Logic Audio Device Setup !!!!!!!!! It messes BIG TIME !!!!! Four copies of the same driver !!! That`s a good feature , too !!! Congratulation Emagic !!! You and Microsoft are real alchemists !!! You can tranform a Software Piece into a Trouble Maker !!!! I am praying, hoping, asking to God to make some good Sonic Foundry programmer to work for Emagic . ... that`s enough for now ... Now you can figure how I`m pissed off !!! Sorry again for those that have nothing to do with it ... ... and thank you Tony and Fernando , but that was just my problem and not a helping tool, so far ... Message #28557
hello, i am not a logic user, i normally use cubase but know i have to make a rmx of a song originally produced with logic. i received a logic (.lso) file first question: is there any trick (program?) to transform directly from logic file to cubase file???..well i really guess not unfortunately... so i have to pass through midi format but it is not as easy as it could seem!! I borrowed a copy of logic but i really do not know anything about this sequencer..it seems that before the transformation there are some operations to do like creating real copy of loops and "normalizing" sequences (???) does anybody logic expert can clear me how to do that basic operation (.lso to .mid) ???? (off course i dont want to loose anything..controllers..sysex...) many thanks matteo

Hi, DR-005 shares Logic's memory partition - 23722K (<24MB) is really not enough for the two to coexist comfortably; how come you're giving Logic so little on a 320MB machine?? I'd recommend giving an extra 6MB or so for each DR-005 you plan to have loaded; that'll be adequate for most drum kits, although you can probably get away with 4MB per DR-005. Regards, Angus. I too am having dongle problems. I paid for a crossgrade from SVP to Logic almost a month ago. I received a ADB dongle this week (after returning the USB one) and after a full day of trial and error, I still can't get Logic to see the dongle. So I've had the program almost a month and have only seen the splash screen to date. I was on the phone with tech support for 45 minutes yesterday. They were to call me back after a few more trials, but never did. I am hoping I will hear from them today, but this is getting old. Am about ready to return the upgrade and look at Digital Performer. ********************* 3Score music/etc Tel. 612-333-2233 Fax. 612-333-2232 www.3scoremusic.com *********************

If it's a Pulsar, you > probably get the same problems. Sorry, I didn't express my setup well. I'm not currently using Pulsar Synths. I am using a Roland TD-10 (drum module) as my midi controller and sound module, connected to the pulsar midi interface. The pulsar is doing nothing to the midi other than passing it through. If I "wire" a loopback in Pulsar (from pular hardware midi input to pulsar hardware midi output) there is a very slight delay increase (3ms). If I "wire" the pulsar hardware midi input to the Sequencer input (LAP) and then take the sequencer output and wire it to the Pulsar hardware midi output, this is where I get an increased delay of 26 additional ms. I guess my question to you would be, if I used Emagic's midi interface or another, and plugged in my TD-10, how much round-trip delay would I get? I can't seem to play with all this delay! Thanks for your help! But do I detect a bit of anti-CW bias? DC
