Yes exactly. if you just want straight volume changes on the beat do it in
the event list. you could use hyperdraw, but do it on a big zoom so you can
see, use the pencil tool to add a new point, and watch the numbers changing
as you drag it around. it is possible to hyperdraw a volume change from 60
to 127 from one clock-division to the next. it would look like a straight
line in hyperdraw.
volume change info, eventlist volume change info, and volume automation are
all the same thing, aren;t they?
Just different ways of inputting or viewing the data.
All three methods suit different purposes. hyperdraw is by far the best for
automatically writing a smooth fade, though.

Just use the pencil and create another point just before where you want it
to change otherwise, see the above green writing....

Relax! Just save before you edit, or use the undo.

well use the event list, it's easier for just a hard volume change here and
there. And fairly fast, just copy and paste and type in the new value.
