Jeez, I wonder how many people have already used that pun...?
OK: Until last year I was using Opcode's Vision, but unfortunately
had
to give up the habit when I bought a Digigram vx Pocket card for my
PowerBook. I went over to Cubase (which I used years ago on an Atari
for a while - seemed OK at the time), but I don't like it much. Looks
horrible, not very intuitive, some timing problems, not especially
stable... the usual list of complaints.
I'm wondering now if I can't get everything that I want to do done
using just Micrologic AV.
I work mainly with audio and rarely with more than about 10-12
tracks.
Midi stuff is really simple as I only use one outboard synth. I never
get into minute editing of the data. Recently I'm using the Koblo
stuff and Spark Modular as VST instruments, and of course I use a
bunch of VST effects - all possible in Micrologic AV, right?
Do you think that coming from several years using Vision and Cubase
VST I'm going to find Micrologic too restricted? What can you see me
missing before too long?
Isn't there a demo available of Micrologic? Doesn't seem to be one on
Emagic's website...
Thanks - peter
