no, actually i do not have any BIG performance problems with it but i think
that when you are playing midi notes on a master keyboard you always have
noticable dalays in the playback on the computer especially with short
samples. therefore i wonder if there are any cards where you can set the
buffersize to values that cause better performance than the audiowerk8 has?!
my memory is 384mb 133mhz ram and i have an athlon 750 with an abit ka7
board.
but the audiowerk is producing some other strange effects in my system. i
don't know if other users of athlon system are having them. my audiowerk
produces noise on the left channel (master ch1/2) which are peaks at maximum
volume!! when i put the card in another system (not athlon) and test the
card everything is fine. in MY system there is this loud crackling sound -
and only on the left channel?!? sometimes it stops when i turn the driver
off and on again. quite a while everything seems ok then but without any
reason it starts again. strange, huh? whenever i bounce or record something
there is NO noise in it. it's just when i play back something. any ideas
anyone??
