It's a 128-bit vector processing unit on the new G4 chips. This means that if something is "velocity engine" accelerated it will run MUCH faster than if it wasn't. So the Velocity Engine is a good thing. Be very glad to have it. (and no, it doesn't have anything specifically to do with Logic or velocity in the musical sense... it's just a part of your Mac's computer hardware) Ben
