Using strictly the USB port is the simplest way. > > Eddie > IMS ProA/V Being an educational MIDI/audio/video lab (Logic Studio/Protools/Final Cut Studio), with only 10 of the 25 workstations having keyboards that have builtin USB to MIDI interfaces, the other 15 workstations having older keyboards without a builtin USB to MIDI interface, I want to keep all 25 workstations with the same/similar configuration. This also shows students that the MIDI data is really seperate and different to just a straight USB connection. I think is a little hard for students to see what is actually going on if using just a USB cable and the builtin MIDI interface within the MIDI keyboard.
