Being an educational MIDI/audio/video lab (Logic Studio/Protools/Final Cut
Studio), with only 10 of the 25 workstations having keyboards that have
builtin USB to MIDI interfaces, the other 15 workstations having older
keyboards without a builtin USB to MIDI interface, I want to keep all 25
workstations with the same/similar configuration.
This also shows students that the MIDI data is really seperate and different
to just a straight USB connection. I think is a little hard for students to
see what is actually going on if using just a USB cable and the builtin MIDI
interface within the MIDI keyboard.
Thanks for the advice though, and the advice given by others. I'll try out
the possible solutions given and see how it goes.
Thanks,
Simon
