Hi Erik,
I use a RME Fireface400 for live playing with a G4 PB 1,25 MGz, 2 GB
RAM. To keep the CPU strain down I have chosen to handle patch
changes by setting up 128 Channel Strip Performances. I have a MIDI
foot pedal that sends MIDI Program Change into the PB on MIDI Channel
1. Logic's Performances are preset to answer to MDI channel 1
incoming on the selected track. I'm mostly playing EWI, by MIDI, on
this rig and at the moment I'm not in a position to verify that
Performances called up by external MIDI PC also works on Audio
Tracks. If not you can use saved Channel strips to call up by
computer key commands. Or you might chose a different concept and set
up a couple of parallel tracks with different insert effects as well
as some bus effetcts for adding by the send knob of each track.
Sorry, got to rush off for a train now....
