Subject: Roland XV-2020
Message #231954
I've Recently switched from DP so forgive me if this has been covered before. I'm using Logic Express (7.2.3) and have a Radium 49 keyboard and a Roland XV-2020 Sound Module. I record mainly classical guitar via a MOTU HD 896 into Logic - all is fine on the Audio side of things and I can also access the virtual synth EXSP24 sounds. The Radium 49 keyboard is linked directly to my MacMini by USB, and I have a Midi cable running between the Keyboard and the Roland XV-2020 Sound Module. I can send General Midi information from the Keyboard to the Roland and using Logic can switch between the various sounds 1-128 (Piano - Gunshot). However the Roland XV 2020 has many more sounds than just the 128 General Midi ones, but I don't seem to be able to access these from within Logic. Does anyone know how to use an external sound module such as the Roland XV-2020 with Logic so as to be able to switch between the various sounds of the Module from within Logic? I really like Logic as its general ease of use enables me to concentrate on my playing rather than having to worry about driving the computer. Any assistance will be much appreciated. Thanks Nigel Chatterjee
