Won't work - that will be post-record. You need to use Input Objects
to access the pre-record signal. Say you want to record on a stereo
track, and you'll use input 1-2 as the record source:
1. On a mono Input Object for Input 2, insert a mono noise gate.
2. Set the noise gate sidechain to "input 3".
3. Set the noise gate to monitor the sidechain (it won't gate).
4. Record-enable a stereo track set to record from input 1-2.
