I don't know about Pro Tools, but in Logic the image that is created afterwards is more accurate than the one drawn during recording. Also, during recording it's just blurted out to the screen rather than creating a proper graphics object, which explains why the during-recording-preview disappears as soon as the arrange window has to be redrawn. So it would seem Logic tries not to waste any time during recording on stuff like that. Maurits.
