Why don't you just buy an external drive enclosure and put a drive that you trust into it yourself? The LaCie stuff is defenitely overpriced, considering that they don't do anything else but putting in whatever quality drive either. I have a few external drives with some Maxtor and Seagate disks in them, they're performing just nicely. Admittedly they're USB but I can't see why this would be any different using FW. And as I'm about to buy one or two FW enclosures as well, I'll just be doing it the same. Regards Sascha
