Hey fellow film composer/Logicians. I have a work flow question. At times
a client will give us a DVD of work in progress and we will throw it into
Logic if we feel inspired to write to picture. The way we do that
presently is
as follows:
1.) Convert the DVD to an Mp4 via MediaFork. Then we import that into
iMovieHD and EXPORT file as a DV/DVCPRO-NTSC 720 x 480. Then it goes into
Logic
with no problems and is able to show up on our wall monitor thru the
Canopus
ADVC 110. Hmmmm. THAT seems like a lot of steps. I was hoping Quicktime
Pro would give you choices in the export or save as category but not the
choices we need.
Is the way we are doing this the way YOU do it when your client hands you a
rough cut on DVD only and no .mov file?
Cheers,
Terry Michael Huud
