You can't undistort sound, but some things can be done to mask it. Ask the professional mixer you have in mind to listen and judge whether or not the vocal distortion is too far gone or not. It also depends on context. For example, if Lemmy's vocal was distorted, it still might make a great Moterhead mix. Not so much with Diana Ross. But it's way safer to track the vocals again if you feel you can get approximately the same performance. Hey, maybe you can do even better next time?
