This is a reply to #226898.
I am a huge fan of the C414. It's many iterations allow for lots of uses, I've used the B TL II (vocals, voiceover and Piano) and the B-ULS the most (don't own any mics since a local studio is willing to rent anything from a 57 to a Manley Gold Reference) and am looking forward to acquiring the LTD edition in a stereo pair as my only owned super-duty large diaphram mics. The rest I can obtain as needed, and as each project warrants. The thing I like best about the 414 has nothing to do with their sound; they are like the condenser equivalent of the sm57. Nearly indestructible. But if I could own any mic and price wasn't an issue, I'd get a couple DPAs and be done with it.
