I too use DC with Logic - and I just love it! I see nothing
"wrong"
in what you are telling? It's just that you have to understand that
as soon as you drag a loop and drop it on a logic audio track it
won't play back from DrumCore but from that audio track of Logic's.
Whatever you have going in DrumCore, just turn down the volume on it
(done with the fader on the Logic ReWire object in Logic that is
streaming audio from DrumCore.
There are many ways of using DrumCore with Logic but as you, I too
prefer the ReWire monitoring. Much because of the tight sync of
transport functions which is nice for checking out the loop library
to the music before importing. Another way is to lead the DC audio
stream into a logic input object to simply push record on the audi
track where this input object is selected as input. But I found that
this method reduces the audio fidelity of the loop, compared to
dragging and dropping. If it hadn't been for that I would have used
it to take advance on Logics "audio follow tempo" feature when
producing music with ritardandi etc.
