? Sounds strange. The elements in the plugin window should move when
you operate your controller. Then Logic gets the right messages. It
shouldn't be necessary to show the automation or select anything there.

Logic records automation if you set the automation menu of the
channelstrip to "touch" or "latch". You can operate as
many knobs
simultaneously as you want. No need to watch in an automation view.
Actually you need more graphics power while you observe the writing
process.

I use LC Xmu, a software which emulates a Logic Control. I have two
instances of LC Xmu, that means Logic "sees" two Logic Controls. I
have a bunch of other controllers, they go either to LC Xmu or are
mapped on demand in the environment. The latter is not possible with
Logic Express.
