Subject: [LUG] Logic uses 16.777.216,00 TB RAM
Message #226813
Hi all! I'm using MacPro Dual 2.66 with 4 GB RAM and just discovered that in the Activity Monitor, whenever a song uses more than 2 GB, the Real Memory cell in the monitor jumps to 16.777.216,00 TB, which is strange to say the least. I suspect that might be one of the reasons why Logic is very unstabile in certain projects. I have been suspecting Kontakt2 or Altiverb but they're just helping pushing Logic over that limit. This doesn't happen on G5s to my knowledge. It would be interesting to hear if any MacPro users can get a sane reading from the Activity Monitor once a project crosses the 2 GB border. I've read two other posts on Apple's Logic discussion forum from people with the same symptoms. Have a nice weekend! Ginge
