Peter,
what do you mean by "the Controller Assignments of Logic are not
manageable and they don't support third party plugins."
does this mean if I want to use Kontakt as one of my software instruments, I
can't control it in real time?
also, in a later message in this thread, you suggest a solution to sample
load time for multiple patches that might be played during a gig: you
suggested using a cable switcher connected to all the pre-loaded instruments
(I assume it would be ok to have multiple instances of Kontakt or other
synths loaded with different patches/samples) and then mute and un-mute
different combinations of cables to get the desired real time patch changing
and layering. Am I understanding this correctly? Could each set of muting
events (used to create the resulting patch/sound) be selected at random with
program control messages from a midi foot controller?
Are there any examples of this I can see as a starting point?
thanks,
Steve
