hi george, thanks. i am positive i am not using the internal drive. fyi i am a newbie to logic for sure (!) but i am very experienced recording digitally. so...i have the buffer maxed, copied a project to the internal drive and am getting nowhere. i have 2 prism ada-8's in aggregate (total 16I/O). i am thinking the firewire buss just can't handle the throughput even though i can't really imagine that is the case - surely people on this list use more than 8 i/o's right? as an aside why can't i make each channel output to only one out channel - why does it output to a stereo set (1-2, 3-4 etc.) only? best, steve
