I think Garage Band records only in AIFF and you cannot change that. What you can is import different formats like WAV, MP3 and AAC (Not protected ones though). And compressed formats will remain compressed in the project. > where exactly does GB store the recorded audio? Everything, including any audio recording, is stored in the .band file created. When you create a new GB project and choose a name for the project you can also choose where to save it. Regards, Gordon
