Subject: [LUG] beat mapping undocumented control
Message #222917
Hi... anyone familiar with beat mapping? in the beat mapping global track there is a checkbox that says "protect midi" -- that checkbox is not documented in the manual. Beat mapping is supposed to only change tempos so the midi notes remain as played but the bars and beats are musically useful even if originally played without a click. Why would midi need to be protected and what does that mean? I've always found the reclocking functions confusing. Beat mapping seems better but this option is mysterious! Thanks Dave
