I'm curious. Well, I have it set at 128 samples, and the cue I'm working on at the moment has a ridiculous amount of stuff going on - off the top of my head: a Sculpture, an EFM1 (?the Logic FM synth), an NI FM7, two EXS24s, three EW Colossuses, a Stylus RMX, two NI Absynths, a Cakewalk Dimension Pro, an Ivory Grand, and I've probably forgotten something. Two short Altiverbs and an iZotope Ozone. This is a 2 x 2.5 GB with 8GB of RAM in it. The thing just keeps going and going and going - this isn't straining it at all. Oh, and actually this is an aggregate device with the RME Fireface 400, a MOTU PCI-424 with three boxes, and Soundflower (so I can run stand-alone programs outside Logic to get more memory access). But note that I'm not recording live audio here - this is all host- based stuff.
