Hello Cyril,
I was attempting to take you up on your kind offer to look at my file
and figure out what is wrong with it. I realized that I probably
shouldn't attempt to send it as is- that I should convert it to an
MP3 first. I am still extremely rudimentary in my Logic skills, so I
had to look up how to do that. I finally found the info, and
converted the file to an MP3. I was going to send it to you, but I
thought I should play it first. It turns out that only the live
audio bass part survived- the Apple loop drum track did not, nor did
the (badly played) sampled piano part. I went back to Logic to
convert the loops to real audio copies before attempting to save
again, when Logic crashed again. This time I was not playing, nor
was I attempting to add the horn part that had crashed things
before. Earlier, the file opened, and let me play piano for a while,
even re-record the piano part (I'm not a piano player), with no
problem. So. Suggestions? The uncompressed file is about 1 MB, I
think, and it could be trimmed, since it's only a four-bar sequence,
anyway. It was just a little thing I thought I would lay down to
fool around with. But it started crashing Logic when I attempted to
add Philharmonik, to add an English horn part. But apparently
Philharmonik is not the culprit, since it crashed just now before I
even got to Philharmonik.
