Do you mean you copied the regions from one track to the other? The thing to know is that track automation exists separately from the regions. In preferences->automation you can tell Logic how you want it to handle this when you move regions around. You can have automation always moved with regions, or have the program ask you in every instance with a dialogue box, or have it never moved. In your case though, it sounds like you wanna copy all the volume automation to another track in a block, regardless of regions. Get the volume automation showing on the screen on the source track, select all of it (option-doubleclick somewhere on the automation display portion of the track), press Apple-C to copy. Now select the target track and press Apple-V.
