I think Logic grabs any incoming clock signal before it reaches the
environment, so if you have Logic set to auto-sync to external clock,
it will keep trying to sync to its own clock through the IAC loop.
The solution might be to turn off the auto-sync, which I think is in
tempo & sync prefs (song prefs?)
