I did the gig (12 tracks) and it went fine using the FF800 with a FW400 drive pigtailed onto the FF. I did a lot of testing with this set-up and it worked perfectly. There are guys out there using the Macbook Pro getting up to 30 tracks of simultaenous audio recording. I would think you could get 24 tracks on the Macbook 2ghz DualCore with 2 gigs of RAM on board. I can't stress enoughh that the 2 gigs of RAM is the way to go on these laptops. The system really works MUCH better with the extra RAM. Cheers
