How will I ensure that my esx > still has all the instruments I created? You will have to copy a few things: - Probably all the factory patches, in case you were altering them. They're located in Maindiskname/Library/Application Support/Logic/Sampler Instruments. - All your own patches. Located in User/Library/Application Support/Logic/Sampler Instruments. - All your samples. This is where it get's tricky, because depending on your organisation "style", they might be spread all over the place. Unfortunately, Apple entirely stripped an easy way to backup *all* your instruments and samples from Logic in one single step (yes, something highly useful as that has been existing in previous versions!). So, now, what you'll have to do to get it done in case your samples aren't nicely collected in one convenient place (something that could easily happen, should you have converted a lot of AKAI disks), you may have to open the Project Manager, select all patches (good luck if you're using a lot of subfolders...) and then use the "copy selected EXS instruments and samples" command. In case all your samples are in one folder (which, ideally, they really should be), just copy or move that folder. Regards Sascha
