Hi Martin!
Well, I have my Hammerfall in the last slot of my Asus P3B-F, and it works
without problems!!. I always had my AW8 in the 1 slot and had some problems
inthe beginning, but after I moved it in the 3 slot, there are no problems
anymore! I also remarked that there in an advantage for the AW8 if its IRQ
is higher or lower (can't remember) than the SCSI controller IRQ. Perhaps
you are right, but I have eliminated my problems in moving the Audio cards
the farest away from the AGP Graphics.
Cheers,
Gilles
Gilles,
It is not advisable to move it as far from the graphics card (AGP) as
possible. The best place for an audio card is indeed PCI slot 2. PCI slot 1
is the one right next to the AGP slot and it shares some resources with it.
Therefore you should only put low-data-usage-cards in this slot.
