Subject: Help! Switching from ProTools to Logic and need help quantizing midi!
Message #219395
Hi guys! After a long time using ProTools, I've finally switched to Logic 7.2. It's amazing software, but I'm having a very difficult time quantizing MIDI data that I record. When I record a block of MIDI, then quantize the notes (in the actual editor), it will quantize the notes in relation to each other (similar to ProTools' Relative Grid feature), but it wont place them on the grid. I want to have an Absolute Grid so that all the note beginnings begin on the line, and also so that if I click and drag any particular note, it automatically snaps to the grid, for example 1/16th or 1/8th, or whatever I specify. In other words, I want the grid and snapping to be just like how it is in ProTools. How can I do that? Please help!! Thanks, M7
