Are you working in a > prison where playing MIDI controllers is part of the punishment? We prefer the term "university." :-) No, I'm using Logic for my dissertation on conversation dynamics. I'm recording two people talking, then analyzing the pitch and intensity of their utterances for unique statistical properties over time. They are triggering the counter with the padKontrol with each utterance, because I need at least 1024 utterances to see the statistical properties I am looking for. But I'm also recording the MIDI data generated by the padKontrol, and will be analyzing the duration and velocity data for the same statistical properties. But if you think playing the padKontrol for 1150 notes is punishment, try saying the same phrase over and over again 1150 times (our controlled version of a "conversation")! I have difficulty recruiting subjects. I've been using Logic since I bought my first Mac (PPC 7500) in '96, so it's fun to finally come up with a use for these skills at my "day job." Thanks again for your help! Gregory
