Hi All, I second this. I Recently I 'upgraded' from a dual 1 ghz g4, which
NEVER crashed
using Logic 7.1 and osx 10.4.3. when I say never I really mean it. I moved
to a dual 1.8 G5
PCI so I could keep using my 3 UAD cards on a month ago and it has been a
nightmare. I
have all of the same problems Daniel mentions. To attemt to solve the issues
I have now
gone to 10.4.7 and 7.2 but I have exactly the same crashing problems.
One other strange issue is that when I use a fade in of 9999 I get static
noise when
playing back the region in aggange. Seems there a re LOTS of new bugs. I
often (4-5 times
a day) get the spinnig ball and a total computer freeze, and Logic will not
'Force quit.' I
have to manual shut down. I also have my computer keyboard crash a lot. It
just stops
working - the mouse works, etc, but no keyboard. I have been using Logic
since v4 and
really thought that it was fixed, since my last system ran so well. I think
it may be a G5
issue, because I had an identical system running on the G4 with no problems
at all. Now it
is a nightmare, and I have wiped the drives clean a reinstalled 3 times.
