I seem to recall one of the reasons leaving OS 9 behind being that it was too "patched" and would have needed a complete re-write. > What kind of a analog is that supposed to be? Although the days of using it actually are far behind I seem to recall having to make spesific sets for the different starting applications (can't recall what they were named but you know like MIDI drivers and printers). I also remember having several times upped the needed memory maunually because program wouldn't run otherwise ! During the about 6 years that I used OS 7.5 - OS 9 I also hard carshed at least 3 times. None of this is needed with OS X and in about 5 years that I now have been using it I have had no hard crashes.
