Subject: Low recording level in Logic
Message #218075
Hi everyone, I have a quite basic question. I'm recording a band via a mixer which outputs are led to a Motu traveler and then everything is transferred to Logic via firewire. Now my problem is that I set the levels in my mixer so that I sometimes reach the orange but never the red. I apply the same to the traveler were the dynamic seems to be quite weel used. My problem is that in logic I usually end up with very small waves that I usually end editing with audio energizer. As I understand the problem today, for percusive instruments, the peak of the signals makes the average signal quite low... any solution proposition, better explanation? Regards Fred
