I've been able to play songs by switching off all my widgets, that wouldn't
playback with
the widgets open. I'm only talking about 3 or 4 factory widgets. And I'd
never used or
opened the Dashboard before. So you do get a performance gain by switching
off all
widgets. This is on a powerbook G4 running 10.4.6.
