Thanks John. Should have mentioned that the card is
FW800. I have installed it and it seems the mLan FW
will no longer run from the G5 FW ports. However it
seems to run in the PCI card. So I have plugged both
drives into the G5 ports.
My question is: the FW400 drive is for backups only
and it gets turned on at the end of the day when my
work is done. Since it is not turned on or mounted on
the desktop I presume that my FW800 drive will run at
800. Is this correct? If needed I could unplug the
FW400 drive completely till needed but I'd rather not.
Alternatively, I suppose I could plug it into the PCI
card with the mLan.
Thanks again for your assistance.
