From comparing the specs between the two, I'd say the sales guy either
doesn't know what he's talking about (likely), or is just trying to upsell
you. Since the iMac uses a 3.5" drive and not a 2.5" laptop drive,
it will
almost certainly have fewer I/O bottleneck problems than the MacBook Pro,
too, not to mention a less expensive upgrade path.
