There are 3 or 4 different ways to change tempo but you're probably looking for the least complicated which is the one where you put in the bar number (by clicking with the pencil below the previous command) and following that enter the new tempo. I don't have Logic on this machine so I can't tell you the exact way to do it but it's not complicated and there's also the help function where you can just do a search on "tempo change".
